Well, apart from the fact he got the reg completely wrong, i quite like it...

I've also got one for one of our most esteemed members, however the bloke sent that one to the wrong address !!!

It's a start though :D

I was riding for a year on my 1150GS without realising that the dealer had put a number plate on that didn't match the documentation. I even went on a police training thing (Ride London?) where they checked the bike and documentation and they didn't notice either.
I should have buzzed a few speed cameras 'at pace'.

My brother did! Buzz speed cameras!! He bought a new Fireblade (what feels like a million years ago!) and despite being sure he'd set off some cameras, never got a ticket. Was pretty complacent.

Then, heading to work across London early hours of the morning one day, in the rain/dark, he ended up stopping at a police roadblock - poor obs as they'd followed for a while but he was just head down to get to work.

Was only then he found out he had the wrong reg - which was why the police wanted to stop him!! LOL Luckily, the dealer sorted it that day and he wasn't prosecuted for it. But he did have to ride a bit more sensibly from then on!! LOL

And now, Weeksy has a 'licence to speed' plate! Stick it on there and give it some beans!

Could be a new challenge to see who gets snapped with a RTTL plate at the highest speed. Verified by pics,of course.

I rode round for about a year with the wrong number plate on a YPVS unintentionally, it was B688MDX, I put B668MDX on in error

Way back in the mists of time I pointed out to one rider that the number on the front (yup! That long ago and they were both metal  ) was the other way round from the one on the back ie ABC 123/123 ABC.

Must be a common thing for dealers as my 636 had the wrong lettering on it when i picked it up. Luckily i spotted it and got the shop to change the plate to the correct one before i left

Should have been HVG but had HGV instead

At the time I didn’t have much choice ….. couldn’t risk getting done for a false plate. Might not be quite so quick to point it out nowadays ;)

that's cool, might get one for my new bike,

I was riding around on my triple for around 6 months with the wrong reg, even went to France. I ordered 2 sizes of plates from an eBay seller, one was correct and one had 2 wrong letters, only found out when the MOT guy said we can't your bike and suggested it might be nicked, I had to find the photo of when I bought it with the right plate and then realised I had F**ked up.

I picked up a brand-new Kawasaki, and whilst doing a quick double-check I spotted that the reg on the bike was different to the documentation - PPP716W and not PPP717W. Fortunately, it was a simple matter to swap the plate from the other new bike that was due to be collected which had my plate on it.

Add to the list: one of my BMWs, after it had been driven into.
