I don't often buy tyres
I have a BT 010 on the front of my CBR with plenty of tread on it.
The rear is a Pirelli Diablo Strada with 1000 miles on it (it was all my garage had in stock at MOT time)
I was going to treat the bike to a new rear - which Bridge stone matches the front ?

IIRC the 010 was the replacement for the BT56 and has since been replaced by the 014, which I think were replaced by the 016's (but I could be wrong).
You shouldn't put a stickier tyres on the rear than the front (say the experts) cos on the limit you'd rather lose the rear than the front, but I guess it depends how hard you push it.
IMHO that 010 is probably ancient, so I'd put a Diablo Strada on the front instead of changing the rear.
My GSXR has the Strada's on, they're dirt cheap (and a previous generation), but they seem to grip well enough.

Blimey, understatement of the year- I reckon they must have stopped making 010s a good 15 yrs or so ago !
Anything you like I reckon if you're committed to keeping the old 010 on the front, it won't matter much, but of the current line-up, the nearest current(ish) equivalent in their line up would be the BT016
If it were me I would say sod the expense and spash out on on a pair of 016s or something similar- they themselves are fairly long in the tooth so you'd probably pick a pair up for £150ish

Ah, this is a Blade with a 16 inch front isn't it?
That might limit choices on replacing the front or a pair. Is that why you want to keep the 010?

Buy a pair of tyres you tight git, a 15 year old tyre isn't going to be great.

For all a front tyre costs relative to bike parts/plastic,I'd throw both tyres in the bin and fit a fresh set. These days it's difficult to pick a shit tyre,unless it came off a new bike.

I only do about 500/600 ish miles a year on it atm as I use my NC for everyday.
I will prob put a set of 016 on - i can see the garage owners eyes lighting up as I type

New BT 016 on the way at the front and back (i've done lots of weekends so the man maths add up)

I have always been a bit casual about tyres. I dont really care if the front matches the rear or not as i have run with an assortment of mixed tyres over the years.
The Multi currently has matched Angel GT2's but at one point had a Bridgestone T30 front and a Conti Road Attack rear (the only one i could find to fit in rural Norway when the rear T30 ran out after 3500 miles) but that pair did 6000 miles.
The Fazer 600 has a Contimotion on the rear and a Dunlop Roadsmart on the front. Enough grip to have no chicken strips from road riding even though the profiles are probably different.
Are people too precious about mixing tyres ?

Different makes and model of tyres have different profiles. So while it’s not really an issue as they’ll work you could end up with a rounded profile on the back and a pointy one on the front, or one on the front that takes longer to warm than the bike and is worse in the wet etc etc. Each to their own though

FWR have have sets of Bridgestone front and backs in the right sizes so I’ll go over next Saturday- Just want to treat the bike as it’s fine for a 26 yr old Honda

In ye olden days, a popular mix was Dunlop 'trigonometric' (ie triangular section) TT100 front and Avon Roadrunner (rounded section) rear.
