You can finally stream services without massive buffering. Going to seem normal in next to no time though.

I remember thinking 'what am I going to do with all this memory' when I bought one of these from my paper-round money!

At last, that wasn't much trouble was it?
We have full fibre available here now and I was tempted when talktalk put the prices up a couple of months ago but I had thoughts in my head of no internet at all so I'm waiting until the current contract is up and I can get them both running before I cancel the original one.

The wait was eased somewhat by Vodafone installing 4G up the hill so in parts of the house I can get about 30Mbps over a mobile router and pipe that into the home network.Mussels wrote: ↑Thu Jul 22, 2021 5:03 pm At last, that wasn't much trouble was it?

Having got it installed I've just got my first bill....which doesn't have the £8pm 'standard' discount that was on my order confirmation.......
Speaking to the BT 'exec' complaints man tomorrow and also to my MSP.

So. Speed seems to have settled at 900-930Mbps down and 100-110Mbps up:
and £775 credit to my bill.

Be interesting to hear how you find it longer term, if you've just shifted the bottleneck down the line a bit somewhere behind the speed test.
