LAPD confiscated some illegal fireworks today. They have one of those special "explosion proof" vehicles with the big sphere on the back to absorb the blast...
Except today they really fucked up & it detonated with TWO & A HALF TONS of fireworks in a confined space... & just for good measure there was at least one new chopper overhead when it all went pear shaped. No idea if they found any of the sphere yet, there was fuck all of it left on what was left of the truck. Sixteen people injured, three critical. Multiple homes & vehicles damaged.

Cops are now claiming there was only 10lb of boom powder in the truck & it's rated (or was) for 18lb.
The PD, ATF, FD etc just had a hilarious presser & the cop spokesman was in total "we fucked up, I better cover my ass" mode
