Far more interesting is that it seems that an illicit hidden camera (perhaps supplied by Hikvision, wholly owned by the Chinese state) was concealed in a smoke detector inside the office. I'll bet that there are many more of these illicit cameras scattered through Whitehall offices.

Does seem a bit odd that the CCTV should make its way to the papers though. I would guess disgruntled or otherwise just money seeking employee rather than Chinese state.

One story (previous link) suggests pics taken of a cctv monitor by someone who then approached an anti-lockdown group for advice on how to proceed.

Me personally, I think that whatever the truth, it does clearly demonstrate that politicians are untrustworthy people with a superiority complex and shouldn't have been 'in power' in the first place

We've known that for many a long year. The problem is: how do you arrange things so that those who want to be in power never get to be in power? I.e. How do you arrange politics so as to keep out the politicians?

Hancock is a gullible idiot. The lady involved Gina Coladangelo, was, I'd suggest well aware of the potential for embarrassment for ol' Nick.

Her LinkedIn page, where the Government appointment first appeared, reads: “I have over 20 years experience in business management and marketing and communications, with a focus on retail, healthcare, the third sector and energy.”

She also lists herself as an expert in “internal communications, issues management and public affairs”.

You can't be that smart and get bowled over by the likes of Hancock, surely.
