Proper race bike

A lad that started working for us also works part time in a machine shop that specialises in motorbikes. We got chatting and a plan was hatched to go racing. We picked a class and set about building a bike, it’s become the most modified bike I’ve been involved in building and riding, spec :

Frame - lightened, braced and geometry tweaked

Forks - modified with additional linkages and damping, shortened

Rear suspension - bespoke from one of the UK’s most well known aftermarket suppliers. Built for our lowered chassis and rear wheel travel

Brakes - standard but rear moved to handlebars

Wheels - lightweight and shod with imported Bridgestone race tyres from a Japanese only one make series, as used by Marquez and Pedrosa

Exhaust - bespoke full system

Engine - bespoke close ratio box, high comp piston, flowed head and race cam. Over twice the power of standard.

I’m sure there’s more, first race is in 5 weeks

Diamond stitched seat FTW!

If only it was brown.

Does that require a hat?
