I don't disagree. I'm not convinced a stressful, high energy job is appropriate for folk that age. The DM didn't seem quite so bothered about slaughtering trump daily for similar 'senile' gaffes though, let alone policy. Hypocrites.

It's win-win for the DM though because once they've ousted biden they can have a go at Harris because of, well, you know.

Because nobody likes her or wanted her for president?

Especially the Democrats.

A quick search shows it reported in The Sun, The Express and The Mail. The Grauniad probably thought RFA was correct.

Since I'm loathe to visit any of those 'media-outlets'* I still don't know what the story might be.

Instead of posting blind links could you copy at least some of the article into the post?

* Not just because of what I think of their 'standards of journalism' but also because I do not wish to add to their visit statistics and contribute to their advertisement revenues.

Biden said "RFA" instead of "RAF".

It's not like any recent US presidents have made any gaffes is it? :D I think Obama's ability to actually speak is the exception not the rule!

Here you go:
Daily Mail wrote:Joe Biden called the Royal Air Force the 'RFA' while addressing US military personnel at RAF Mildenhall in Suffolk during his first-ever speech as US President on British soil last night.

The gaffe came after the 78-year-old President declared that the Anglo-American alliance forged during World War Two was the 'strongest military and political alliance in the history of the world'.

Mr Biden told US troops: 'These partnerships have been hardened in the fire of war. Generations of Americans and service members fought them. Like the original Bloody Hundredth, and those RFA pilots.'
As one wag wrote after yet another of his gaffes: Hey, Sleepy Joe, why don't you just turn the teleprompter round and we'll read it ourselves?

FFS I'm 46, not senile and occasionally make a gaffe like that, Ronnie Raygun did this sort of thing on a near daily basis and he's credited with wiping out the USSR.

Admittedly it's probably not the most suitable job for a 78 yo, but at least Biden just doesn't come off with whatever random though comes into he head.

Yeah let's not forget that trump had the opportunity to actually type his very short sentences into Twitter, and then proof read them, and then sit there hovering over the submit button, and yet he still managed to post absolute nonsense.

Biden has speech writers and proofreaders. All he has to do is read out loud and he can't even do that.

He's supposed to be the leader of the free world and he's got dementia and nobody seems to care.

Yes, Reagan was a bit confused towards the end, but he had all his marbles when he got the job.

And the RFA float around in big grey boats that look military.

Of course no British politician would ever become confused over US military TLAs.

I don't remember you ever making similar posts about the significantly more gaffe prone Trump. Could there be a tiny bit of partisanship here? :D
