How Much Do You Pay For a Service?
Just had full service on the GSXR at local garage.
Also asked them to supply and fit new sparklers and air filter.
And new front Dunlop Sportsmart TT.
Guess how much?

Re: How Much Do You Pay For a Service?
Iridium plugs = £35
Air filter = £20
Oil = £40
Oil filter = £10
Front tyre = £70
So roughly £175 for the bits and £100 for the work. Access to plugs on most sportsbikes is a right pain.
Round it all up to £300.

Why would it need plugs? Iridium plugs are expensive, but the point of them is that they last for ages - like 30k miles or more.

Pay!
For a service!?!?!?!?!
Sod that, once it's out of warranty my spanners come out and I do my own work (except for the Harley, I voided that warranty in less than a month)

There was a tiny hesitation when opening the throttle. Gonna be whizzing along the Pyrenees in a few weeks and want it perfect.Cousin Jack wrote: ↑Fri May 07, 2021 7:50 pmWhy would it need plugs? Iridium plugs are expensive, but the point of them is that they last for ages - like 30k miles or more.

I can't change tyres and I tried to change plugs, but got too fiddly.MrLongbeard wrote: ↑Fri May 07, 2021 9:15 pm Pay!

Re: How Much Do You Pay For a Service?
£780 for a 24k this February by a Triumph dealer as it was still under warranty. Now it's out of warranty I may go somewhere cheaper.
