So I used to run a classic bike to do my daily commute on, this was unfortunately pinched and was (obviously) never found/returned etc. Much time has passed and I totally forgot about this until I found the V5 whilst clearing out some paperwork - the reg might be worth some dough - has anyone done this previously and after 18 years can the plate be sold?

If you've had an insurance payout for your loss then you no longer own the bike, the insurance company do.
