Royal Enfield Meteor 350 & Honda CB350

Post by Phoenix »

I’m being told by a dealer the Meteor models are due to arrive at the end of this month or early May. I hope so. Can’t wait to have a look at one. Hopefully the rising rates of the Corona Virus in India won’t have an effect on exports.

Will Honda bring their H’Ness/CB350 to these shores? They originally said it was only for the Indian market but are now allowing it to be exported to Japan given their is world wide interest.

We’ll have to wait and see.

Try before you buy is my advice.

I have recently swapped an 800VFR for a CB500F. I like the lightness but I'm suffering power withdrawal symptoms. The baby Honda is lovely on small roads and in town, but on a big wide road I really miss that effortless overtake.

Update: There will be a delay as the factory has now closed due to the Corona Virus.

From the inside. It is well built and is very modern compared to the 500 classic. It has an ecu built into the throttle body. Testers were told by the factory not to ‘touch it’. It rides and stops as good as any modern bike - except for sophisticated sports of course.

More news when it comes in.

Ditchfinder. Highly probable there will be a variation given they have been busy developing variations on the Interceptor.

There's been a video leaked of the clock nacelle on the new 350 classic, which supposedly uses the new 350 lump to replace the old UCE one.
