Are anchovy repairs permanent?

Post by Mr Moofo »

Okay RTTL Bike Posse - brand new rear tyre ( well, two rides old) - fuck off big piece of flint and I now have a 2 and bit mm hole. Mended on the trail with an anchovy - which is the first time I have used them. I made it home on it. Now I have used more Stats in it , it is holding air. Is it fit and forget - or replace?

yeah seen many people have them for the life of the tyre. I've never used or needed one personally so no direct experience.

Yes. A flint did for a WTB Vigilante on the front of my susser and took two anchovies to close it. Been there ever since, airtight and stable.

Yes, they will out last tyre. Don't worry about it.
