had the 2nd ride today on the T140, both front and rear brakes felt ok at best, at a quick go on my my older bike and his felt sooooo much better, sharper, mine needed to be squeezed really hard.
1st ride was a very wet and gritty, muddy ride, could that have buggered the pads??? I adjusted the levers as much as you can, ive taken the front pads out and ill clean the disk and pads and see if that helps, but my main question is are the pads shot or are they ok???

and it helps to bed pads in - it sounds like a load of bollocks but it does help.
Best done it dry conditions and it does seem to make the pads last longer.
That said, I once road up the Bachtel nr Hinwil in Switzerland. I had put in some brand new pads in ... and bedded them in.
It was wet n a little bit gritty coming down and I go through a set of Hope originals in about 15k!
Finned pads have greater heat dissipation so ideal for the Enduro riders of the Sarf Dahns with our long steep alpine descents.

A slight bit of sarcasm on my part, our local riding FB group always want to recommend a 160mm+ Gnarpoon to every new rider when a 120mm FS or HT would rinse it on 99% of the local trails.
Also some people maybe serial brake draggers.............

I've been using Noah & Theo ceramic pads bought on eBay. Just under £15 for two pairs. They work really well hauling 125kgs of bike and rider to a standstill.
FWIW, A friend was using my T130 on a very wet day in the Surrey Hills just before Christmas. The sand and water mix pretty much destroyed front and rear pads which had started they day with only 25% wear. My mate does tend to drag the brakes to be fair, but the riding conditions clearly contributed massively.
