Minichamps

Post by KungFooBob »

I loves me a minichamp... a brand of high quality diecast models (for the uninitiated).

I only buy the Rossi ones, I've not bought one for almost 2 years (I've got 8 in total so far, including some early 250's).

I'm feeling well off this month so thought I'd have look on t'bay as a special treat.

It seems the Minichamps are the only motorcycles I've ever purchased that have appreciated, even the ones that only cost me £20 are now worth £45!

Anyone else a collector?

I might treat myself to a 2016 M1 while they're still (relatively) cheap.

I think people who have never had/touched one, dismiss them as toys and don't realise just how 'premium' they are. It certainly surprised me when I unwrapped my first one.

I don't think anyone them will ever be worth less than I paid for them, which is a bonus, not that they'll see me thought my retirement or anything.

You see the money folk are asking for the Manx Norton and Kawasaki Z1? I bought them for about 40 quid each...
