How much for this paint scheme to be sprayed?
I've been offered a set of FZ bodywork painted like this with my existing bodywork going to the seller and me giving him some cash, how much should I offer, I was thinking about £800, though that might be a bit low as I think it would cost more than that for me to get mine sprayed like that.

It's hard to judge without knowing the condition of both sets of bodywork and are they stock Yam bits or pattern race panels? If both of you want to do the swop,at least there's a motive there to come to an agreement.
On the topic of paint, unless you have a tame painter I can't see a full paint job being less than a grand.

Both are standard Yamaha panels, I thought a grand sounded about right, dunno whether to try it on with an £800 offer, I'll see what he says, my panels have all got small cracks, but every 30 year old FZ panel has, the plastic goes brittle

If the decals are painted on then a lot of good quality work has gone into that.
If they are just stickers then not so much.

Why don't you spend a it more and get yours painted? It'll be brand new then.
I'm not sure on price, my stab in the dark at Dream Machine would be maybe £1500 but I might be out of touch, IIRC my standard LC was £1200 in 2016. There are a few decent people out there who don't charge as much though.

You can't be the buy and the seller. Get him to name a price.

I'll see what he comes back with, sent him photos of my bodywork this morning, tbh mine isn't as bad as I thought it was.

I'm looking at the West Raynham and Snetterton photos for a manky red 250LC with RD400 tank stripes, it later had a manky Marlboro replica paint scheme also out of rattle cans.

You need to have a chat with Josh Day @ Dayo Paint ( the Ducati Tri Options Cup rider ) - He's well familiar with FZ's and can do your graphics in paint or stickers.
Find him on FB under ''Dayo Paint'' or on

U won't be disappointed.
