Morning all,
So, after a 4 and a bit month wait the Trident is finally here. Had the day off on Friday and picked it up from the dealer. Long ride home and got a quick local blast in on Saturday morning.
What can I say! This is my first bike after getting my full A licence in December. It's very easy to ride, handles really well and sounds fantastic. Looking forward to putting the miles on it over the summer months. One quick photo for now. Hoping to get some better shots soon. I have a few more accessories still on back order, they will be put on at the first service.

That's a great first bike. Have you finished staring at it yet? How many pints of milk have you bought

Top bombing chief.
Must admit I wasn't taken with them at all in the early press shots. But saw a real life one in that exact colour parked in Hertford a couple of weeks back and it's a much nicer thing in the flesh. It's a proper looking thing, enjoy.

Thanks everyone. There are a few little things on the aesthetics side that I'm still not sure of. I like the stubby rear, but that means the big scooter like plate carrier. The rear sprocket is huge, the rear wheel almost looks hidden behind it. Few cheaper bits that point towards the price, like the rear brake pedal. But, not bothered by those things, the build quality and finish seems really good overall.
But it does look much better in the flesh than videos and photos. I hadn't even really considered this bike before its launch. I was leaning towards the MT07. Very happy that I went with this.

Haha, it's a bit messier now after digging a huge hole to fit a ground anchor yesterday!

Have taken a few photos, added them here. Not taken many yet. Will grow the album over the summer and do some proper shots at some point.

Looks loads better than the one in the original press shots, with the red rad covers.

So, i've had the Trident just over a month now. Almost time for the first service, just shy of 500 miles on the clock now.
Really enjoying it, it has two sides to it. Very happy to potter about and be civilised, but it's also happy to get up on its toes and enjoy the turns. I like the firm handling, it's light, and it's easy to ride. No issues at all yet, so hoping this is how it continues. I have a few more accessories that will be added at the first service so looking forward to that. Oh, and the gearbox is breaking in nicely, not as notchy and i'm getting muscle memory for it now.
Was up to the Cat'n'fiddle this morning. Pretty technical road and the weather was great!

Last time I rode the Cat and Fiddle was in the early 90s on a 1989 GSXR750, nice but of road, but I preferred the A6 from Buxton to Matlock or the Via Gellia road, the A6 was full of cameras and low speed limits 20 years ago and a shadow of what it had been in the 90s.
Anyway glad you're enjoying the bike, it's probably great for the Peak District.
