Best MTB for £3k
Mostly XC stuff.
Needs to be 29” ( that’s just my personal preference)
Needs to be full sus’ ( that’s my backs preference).
The lighter the better. If it has a dropper post already then fab.
Needs to be ordered within the next 10 days.
Any help appreciated!

Something with an electric motor, you no longer have to worry about how much it weighs or hills

I'll be impressed if you find anything FS that's not a Halfords thing with a motor for £3000 at the moment.Le_Fromage_Grande wrote: ↑Wed Mar 10, 2021 4:38 pm Something with an electric motor, you no longer have to worry about how much it weighs or hills

Re: Best MTB for £3k
So would I, my 2019 hardtail Haibike was £2500 in May 2020 and that was at least £500 off list price, it's fairly high spec, but the low spec ones are going for £3K now, anything FS that's worth buying seems to start at £6Kweeksy wrote: ↑Wed Mar 10, 2021 4:40 pmI'll be impressed if you find anything FS that's not a Halfords thing with a motor for £3000 at the moment.Le_Fromage_Grande wrote: ↑Wed Mar 10, 2021 4:38 pm Something with an electric motor, you no longer have to worry about how much it weighs or hills

I'd struggle to find a bike I'd swap my G160 for under £6000 even without an engine.

You're fussier than me, but I wouldn't buy anything without decent air forks and shock, brakes and gears I'm not so bothered about as I barely use either.

Any good to you?
I have a Canyon ebike which was way way cheaper than equivalent bikes with the same or worse specs from other manufacturers. My experience with Canyon has been good..

Crikey. You’re not kidding.
I like the look of the first one.
Can’t remember if I need large or x-large
Also, good front shocks and easy of tubeless would be a fab bonus.
I might look at Bird again ( previous order fell through)
Not sure if it can be used- I suspect not as it’s CTW scheme

Re: Best MTB for £3k
I would look a Trek or Giant - but there is more or less nothing about. And 2nd hand are stupid prices.
If you are not a bike snob the Calibre Bossnut gets rave reviews
If you can stretch to a Bird, do so ....

Re: Best MTB for £3k
Can't be too hard to resolve on Ebay.
Get it bought, get them to ship it to me and i'll sort the forks. You'll have to pay for the forks of course

There's a FS Cube that retails for £2800 but I think you have to wait about 16 weeks -should get some fun in before Autumn!!weeksy wrote: ↑Wed Mar 10, 2021 4:40 pmI'll be impressed if you find anything FS that's not a Halfords thing with a motor for £3000 at the moment.Le_Fromage_Grande wrote: ↑Wed Mar 10, 2021 4:38 pm Something with an electric motor, you no longer have to worry about how much it weighs or hills
