Road Craft Manual Revision
Since I bought my 2019 copy it appears they have made a revision to the new version. Does anybody know what the new overtaking guidance is please? They say:
“A revised overtaking chapter with separate sections on passing stationary vehicles, single stage overtakes and multi-stage overtakes.”

The BIG improvement is a section on predicting what can go wrong. It has little diagrams just to ensure you get the point. It's almost as if someone's been reading my writing
Understanding the f*ckups is what keeps you safe when overtaking, not reciting the steps of the police system. Errors are what kill riders. If you haven't thought THAT through, it doesn't matter how technically proficient or 'snappy' you are at pulling off an overtake.
Still far too much emphasis on one and three stage overtakes as 'different' techniques. They're not, they're just opposite extremes of a continuum, with the three stage overtake only being a factor because you're trying to overtake into a very limited space... if you weren't, you wouldn't need to close up! Think about it

Bought the police motorcycle road craft paper backed book after about 3 yrs from passing my test and buying a new R1.
I was lucky as I had about 30k miles of road riding experience with a bunch of good mates that had decades of real life road riding skills and natural ability. When I read the book I basically reduced it to ,slow down and look where you're going.
No substitute for miles under yr belt.
