Ok not shit its ok ! but not sure why it is so popular and has cult like status, sure loads of history I get that, however so many better tracks to ride that are better than Donny..……..Oulton / Cadwell / Silverstone / Bedford...not sure I get it...

Hmmmm it's a tricky one isn't it. But it has good lefts, good rights, uppy bits, downy bits and no stupid after-thought chicanes. Which puts it fairly high up on the list for me. I prefer Silverstone, but after that, i'm probably putting Donny 2nd.

Popular - maybe because it's easy to get to?

Cult-like? Maybe because it's hosted a lot of cracking racing at international level (not that other tracks haven't), but Donnington will always be remembered for things like Schwantz's rides there etc.

Silverstone? Flat, wide, boring. Still the most bizarre situation where a track has had to be amended time and again to make it "better" for F1 and MotoGP and still isn't as good as Brands GP, Donny and others.

It's a rather large loop and fits in with the flow of the track rather than say Edwinas at Mallory, the chicane at Cadwell and the 2 at Oulton which whilst i understand how/why they came about, were complete afterthoughts and not redisgns.

The Loop is shit. It does ruin the flow.

Donington is OK, but doesn't make my top three.

The loop is a bit naff, but the Esses are fun and super quick. Gets a giggle every time

Not ridden Donny so can't comment but my favourite is Brands GP then Oulton Park and Mallory. Didn't really gel with Silverstone and Snetterton.

Mallory is no ones favorite track!

Anglesey is very underrated, imho*. Anyone who's no been should go!



* I've only been when it's sunny and warm, I can imagine it's a hell hole when the weather aint so great.

Donington without the loop section is good fun.

If you haven't seen Donington, have a look at this....

FF to 5:05 for a good look at the loop section....

My first ever track experience was Donington when I was 18 - t'was also the first time I rode a 'big' bike 'cause I was on my 33bhp restriction at the time. I loved the Craner Curves, they were my first experience of a proper high speed flowing corner.

It was added in to extend the track length to make it eligible for Grand Prix racing as the National lay out as it’s called now was too short

Some tracks get better the faster you can ride them, usually the GP tracks.

100% agree with this....this is Silverstone GP all over, below a certain average speed lets say it can feel dis jointed boring etc however if you get to the " right " speed its a brilliant fast flowing circuit that flows together beautifully ! like Mugello and Cataluyna….sure not the elevations but the flow etc....

Mallory was always my favourite track - till I started going to Cadwell more!!

I've only done Anglesey once and bloody loved it!

But would still be up for going to Mallory for a laugh - downside is no one I know wants to go!!

Donington is ace, craner curves is awesome, the loop is great for late braking. Silverstone is flat and shit and expensive, Oulton and Cadwell both good, Bedford is best left to cars. Best tracks I’ve ridden, Portimao, Jerez, Spa then to the UK Donington closely followed by Cadwell but it’s very bike dependant is Cadwell. After that Oulton,Anglesey,Pembrey then Silverstone and Mallory.

Brands GP is bonkers as well. Fast as f*** bends.
