Re: New Bike!!
Nice bikes, bit bland compared to the 500 single (but then I would say that)

Re: New Bike!!
Congrats, looks like fun. Sorry the CBR has gone, I really enjoyed that bike and since selling it back to Couchy I've oftern thought about having another one, not for any particular purpose, but they just put a smile on your face.
I'm sure the RE will give you lots of smiles though, never heard of anyone being disappointed

Re: New Bike!!
The Baak stuff is silly money for proper hipsters.
You'll find the factory stuff from India is dirt cheap.
If you order any parts from Hitchcocks in the UK they'll send you a catalogue, it's a proper sit on the bog and read thing that covers all the bikes from 1950ish up to the modern 650.

I love it when change occurs organically. 'Twas meant to be.

Re: New Bike!!
I'm liking that but then I do like the interceptor.... Think I'd pass on the white jacket and pisspot helmet though

Re: New Bike!!
I always fancied a Firebird, I reckon that Inty would be cheaper, faster and more reliable

Re: New Bike!!
I think RE have come up with some very interesting bikes over the last few years, worthy of a space in many a garage.

Re: New Bike!!
This may sound harsh as it's someones new toy, but i'm not seeing a single endearing feature about it, there's not a single thing i think "yeah cool". Sorry but it couldn't be less for me if it were a C90.

Re: New Bike!!
What about the continental gt or the Himalayan. Bit different. Look nice next to the xsr.

Re: New Bike!!
I'm on the same bus as Weeksy on this one.
I love the scrambler styled one earlier in the thread, and could conceivably see myself on one- the Continental GT I can sort of also see as I think they've done a reasonable styling job, but the Interceptor, just doesn't appeal to me despite exactly the same bike, just in a different frock.
The RE twins are pretty bland bikes to ride IMO, so it has to excite me looks-wise, and I just think the sort of old but definitely not old styling is a bit naff, I would honestly take a Bullet (a RE Bullet I mean ) over either of them.
But that's irrelevant, one man's meat etc, and I love it that you've got one, as Skub says, sounds like it was meant to be, it's another different bike on the forum, and will be interested to hear how you get on with it
