MotoGP championship 2021. Predictions, thoughts ?

So then, with Marquez potentially injured, will he get his form back when he returns ?
Will we see the Factory Yamaha team find their form ?
Or the Honda with Spag ?
How about the new Ducati Factory team ? Or will we be seeing the old Ducatis pushing on again ?
Or indeed, will the Suzuki find their form still and keep the consistency that won them last years title ?
How willl KTM fare now, they had what goes down as an impressive, in fact EPIC 2020, will they keep pushing forwards and maybe even push for a title ?

Maybe we'll see Petrucci push on again with a friendly team at Tech 3 KTM?

I think it boils down to 2 things.
There are 10 riders capable of winning.
OR
There are 10 riders capable of second.
Hmmm

If you thought last season was unpredictable once Marquez Snr left the fray then this season will be even more so before round 1 and we get to have a look at mainly how HRC start.
New rider with Pol, Marc possibly still not firing 100% and also the possibility that the injury might change his "push to the edge and crash then wind it back a bit" style he has succeeded with in the past. Marquez Jnr has to beat Cal's results to justify his placing in the LCR team as he has had a year to learn already.
Yamaha musical chairs shouldn't alter things too much in their camp but hopefully Fabulous finds his mojo again just riding the thing and stops changing settings every 3 laps looking for perfection. Career decision time for Rossi though
Suzuki will continue to quietly get on with things as will KTM hoping to continue their improvement but Ducati will no doubt shoot themselves in the foot at some point and start slating any rider who doesnt show good results immediately. I fear for Bagnaia's position in the factory squad if he doesnt hit the ground running but Miller has the experience already to crack on

It's such a crapshoot,it's anyone's guess who's gonna shine this season.
If Monsieur Rins stays injury free,he'll be quick,as will Morbidelli. One would hope Quartararo will be on his game. Mir has proved himself,I'm not sure he will do it again, but he might.
Lots of riders capable of winning on their day,but consistency is the big ballbreaker. Vinales and Zarco are two that spring to mind.
I'm gagging to see how Pol goes on the Honda, could be great, could be a crash fest, one way or the other it'll be entertaining.
This year all depends on the Marquez fitness question,we are either talking about the best of the rest or the championship leaders.
So,if we have to pick someone,I'm going with two!

Rins and Morbidelli.

Of the reasons I'm single, I like to think the main one is that I'm picky!! LOL

I reckon we are gonna see a shortened season again so less development time by the factories, sounds like Ducati have cancelled their new bike by a whole year from what Mat Oxley says.
As for Championship. Hmmmmm
Frankie
Rins
Mir
Just on the basis of consistency. Fabio maybe if he is happy with the bike.
A delayed start might help Marc out. But his injury sounds like trouble so he might struggle this year or miss some of it.

I think racing needs that 1 person to chase, I'd love Marc to come back and be on form, failing that one other rider, not fussed who that is, but I feel it would make it more enjoyable.

On a wing and a prayer once again.
At least we had a season in 2020,given the circumstances I'd settle for the same this year.

So with the first round of testing now complete, how are we seeing things...
Quat is fast, so is Miller.
The big elephant in the room is the Aprilia which is being spoken of highly by Spag A. 'Competitive' is a term he uses a lot in his interview.
KTM and Suzuki seem to have struggled a little in the test...
But as we know, testing is sometimes just 'testing' and has little to do with what happens on the big day.

See my comment on the Rossi thread. It's testing, it's just about as irrelevant as it gets at this stage.
