Longer answer.....

I spent hours fitting helicopter tape to my Cannondale particularly focusing on places that I knew would get worn. Mainly where it gets clamped by the vans rack, and the chain stay where my heel rubs.

If an invisiframe kit had been available I would have bought one.

Yes. I’ve done 4 bikes now. Well worth doing, I also fit a Rock Guardz protector as well

Just keep it in the loft to keep it clean.

The answer is yes it's worth it, but also yes it's more than likely worth paying someone else to do so :)

Me, i use Electrcial tape mostly. It's not as pretty but does the job perfectly well :) But i stopped caring years ago about impressing people with my bikes, i just let them watch my lad now, that impresses them more.

In simple terms, invistape works... it's that simple.

I'd guess at the moment, 2 weeks+ due to lockdown. They/you would have to order the kit, then you'd have to wait till the 4th for it to be shipped, getting here by the 6th/7th, you've then got to get a workshop space or 2 hours+ to fit it.

NOTE.... Invisiframe should not be fitted cold... both the bike and kit should be warm for fitting... Which again brings levels of complication.

Me personally, as i say, i don't have it. I have some 3M tape in certain areas, some insulation tape in others and i go with it.

I quite like the patina of wear. They all tell a bit of a story ...
And I can’t be arsed to do the application.

I do use helicopters tape on down tubes, wear points etc. But chips and scratches happen ...

Bike was dropped off at invisiframe this morning, they don’t make a kit for it yet so are using mine as the guide for the Mediums. Once I get it back I’ll be able to finally ride it. Happy days

just back from collecting my bike, looks great, loads of coverage. I took it last Thursday, they emailed that night and said it was ready for collection, but unfortunately I could not go back until today as I had to isolate with the wife as she is away for work.

they used my bike as a template to go off so they can now sell them, they did't even charge me, top bloke, all in all very happy, now I get to ride it.
