If the question is "what's a better trackbike than a zx6r?"
With a few extra criteria thrown in.
Then what's the answer?
1. Traction Control required
2. Not 1000cc / 150+ bhp
3. Sportsbike
For me, I see it as a list of
Ducati 899 panigale
2013+ zx6r
2918+ Yamaha R6
MV Agusta F800
But what else am I missing and why.
Plus, out of that list, which are you picking and why?

Look at it another way. What does she dislike about the ZX6R?

Nothing at all, she'll have owned it 3 years soon and just time to try something new with some more mod cons too.

KTM engines too, so a double win
The new 'budget' one is only $15,000 USD
EDIT:
There's a UK website too, you only need £16k for the 690 EVO 2S... 80bhp and 125kg!

What about a pukka race bike tho'
One built by someone else to a high standard, maybe a super twin?

I don't care if it's road, race, track. It just needs to tick the criteria.KungFooBob wrote: ↑Sun Dec 20, 2020 2:36 pm What about a pukka race bike tho'

It's an interesting question. One I don't think we'll find out the answer to.KungFooBob wrote: ↑Sun Dec 20, 2020 2:38 pm I reckon she'd go faster on something like this...

IME, that bit more power helps. Rather than hinders. Of course there's a limit to that.
On the XSR I can stay with her, but on the 690 I couldn't, not even close, the extra power of the XSR ours me in a position where I can ride less hard for a faster lap time.
Re: If the question is "what's a better trackbike than a zx6r?"
Out of that list i would have the 2918 R6, I'm sure by then they will be epicweeksy wrote: ↑Sun Dec 20, 2020 1:29 pm With a few extra criteria thrown in.

Re: If the question is "what's a better trackbike than a zx6r?"
That's irrelevant. Whether the bike needs it or not isn't in the discussion. She wants to try a bike with modern electronics, from QS to traction, to abs. Whether someone else needs it to go faster isn't open to discussion.Yorick wrote: ↑Sun Dec 20, 2020 3:55 pmA 675 doesn't need it.weeksy wrote: ↑Sun Dec 20, 2020 3:18 pmNo TC fitted to Triumphs.KungFooBob wrote: ↑Sun Dec 20, 2020 3:05 pm https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TRIUMPH-DAYT ... 200bhp 1000, you try and persuade her. Let me know how that goes for you.Yorick wrote: ↑Sun Dec 20, 2020 4:04 pmAha. I see. She can try mine at Portimao
