Eeeeeek. Is this potentially the downfall of IMO the greatest rider of all time ?
Is he indeed the greatest of all time ?
Could this be a foot back in the door for Dovi ? or will they run Bradl for the start of next season ?

I believe he is certainly up there as one of if not the greatest. I know he’s not won on other machinery but I also don’t believe he would struggle on any of the other bikes.
He’s still very young even taking another year out would leave plenty of time for him to eclipse other riders achievements. Provided he still has the desire.
I’d pick it up and enjoy my millions.

How will a third arm help him when racing?

He'll be able to flick Rossi's kill switch as he overtakes him to enrage the Rossi-isti even more

Our loss.
I hope it goes well for the ridiculously talented dude.
Can't see Dovi getting a look in,Bradl has found his race face again, quite remarkable in itself, usually when a rider retires so does the most important part...the head.

Leaves HRC in a bind. They gave Marc a 6 year contract and he'll miss at least 1.5 of those. The Repsol squad will be Pol and development rider, not ideal for the worlds premier bike manufacturer, I can't see Pol being up to speed for a few races.
Hope Marc comes back soon though, qaulifying has been a bit dull without his front end slides, chucking the bike in the gravel, running a marathon and then still getting pole.

I'm happy to go all out and say he's the GOAT. He's done it consistently on machinery that no-one else can ride. Stoner is up there for similar reasons.....
He's also a workaholic with his team, first in, last home, fetching tools and coffees for the mechanics, hoovering the pit box, anything he can do. That's why his team are so devoted to him, because they see how committed he is. It wouldn't surprise you to learn how many just turn up, ride, say their bit and fuck off to the motorhome/hotel. S'funny how the media never tell you that stuff!

Stoner is a no from me... Sure, fast, sure, one of the top 10... but i'm not putting him anywhere higher than even Lorenzo myself.

Interesting. If he's not coming back till June that's a good few races. Alex Marquez is still contracted by HRC so maybe they'll keep him with Pol and put Bradl in Cal's old slot?

I reckon Stoner would have pushed MM.
And Lorenzo is the only rider to beat MM in the championship.???

Thought he was indestructible, and found out that he wasn't. Happens.

Bones break. Looks like he is playing the long game so he has a chance to recover properly this time. Probably does not want to lose his arm. More to life than racing.

Not sure if he’s the GOAT, but as previous posters have said he needs to rest and heal. This could be a career finisher if the saw-bones say it’ll never regain full strength and not to break it again.

Maybe old news for some, but MM seems to say the docs should have told him not to race.
