Yeah,I'd want it for way less than that.
Great bike in their day. I knew mine inside out...from necessity!

I would love one again as i had the GPz750R version (just like the one from Top Gun

) but got nowhere to put it and missus would kill me
Did a couple of trips to France on it and was fast but comfy. Took a bit to hustle round bends but lovely bikes. Mine shat its gearbox on the A11 near Snetterton

I had a B reg and a D reg,I think, loved them. Bit long for sharp handling but twist the wrist and they flew away. One went to Poland at the start of a lot of stuff going abroad, the second one went to a dodgy dealer, can’t remember the reg.numbers to see if they are still around.

It's gonna take more than a squirt of Mr Sheene to bring that baby back to Top Gun level of niceness-
Does look original though, and cheap-ish for one that original
But as Yin says, Mav's was a 750 so it's no good for TG fans really anyway
This is what Mav has in TG2 and I think you need as a TG fan now, the same sort of coolness for its era IMO, and so the natural replacement I guess

.

The one in Top Gun was a 900, not a 750 like some people believe.
The confusion arises because the US 900 was the same colours as the Euro 750.
Google it
Also.... the Septics called the 80's ZX10... Tomcat.

Lol, yeah Rob, you've missed your chance it's gone
Very glad I had it but also wasn't sad to see it go- same emotions as I had with my 1199 really.
It was just sitting in the garage most of the time, and although its one of the best bikes ever to jump on every once in a while when you want to either experience really (really) intense acceleration or be able to lift the front wheel with a twist of throttle alone at 120+ or just pose, if I'm honest, it wasn't really me, and I never really bonded with it in the same way I do with some bikes, mainly I think as it was such a big heavy old bus, and sportsbike riding position - 9 times out of 10 I'd prefer to be on (almost) any other bike.
Some bikes (am specifically thinking ZZR1400 here) carry their considerable weight very well, and you feel you can really take liberties with them, but the H2 was a proper handful to try and ride at any half-decent pace, and although could be very exhilerating, was also hard work and for me, frustrating really.
So one day without any real thought or reason to, I just put it up as a classified ad at pretty much what I'd bought it for from a dealer 2 years before out of interest really to see if there was any interest, as a tester really with the idea that if I didn't get that it would stay and despite a few marks, melted tyres and a leaking fork seal, had people queuing up so it went at the asking price.
Shame in a way, as it would indeed be THE bike for that front straight at Porto though, and would have definitely taken it alongside the 390 if I still had it - 200 mph+ there no bother and wheelie over every blind crest ( albeit it would also be a proper handful too for anything more than a couple of laps at a time too

)

Lol, i wasnt even thinking about having a go on it .......... i just thought exactly what you said in the last paragraph
You would have had fun but slept for the afternoon after the first couple of sessions probably as that thing would have been a beast on the crests and straight

The ZH2 probably would be a better road bike and more of an all rounder than the ful fat H2R.
I thought the ZH2 hid it's weight quite well, however it wasn't the weather to push it,so I can't say with any authority. Ming would be your man to ask.

It was a 750 I know the guy who owned the dealership in San Diego that sold the studio 2 bikes and then modded them for the film

, no really I do I’ve been to his ranch and seen the framed receipt
