Ah, a young James Bond as a baddie. Harold escapes y'know. Well, possibly he might have...

Barrie Keeffe wrote a sequel, Black Easter Monday, set 20 years after the events of the first film. It opened with Bob Hoskins's character; Harold Shand, escaping from the IRA after the car was pulled over by police. Shand would retire to Jamaica, then return to stop the East End being taken over by the Yardies.

Probably as well it didn't get made. The ending was

And for a relatively conventional front end that is a completely insanely complicated construction. Take the forks off to change the front wheel? :wtf:
I watched the latest instalment yesterday.

That bike is an absolute lashup!!

It looks like every man and his dog had a go at designing and fitting different parts and no one ever talked to anyone.

Episode 3 is where he decides he can improve every aspect of the bike by melting it down for scrap.

I was at this event, I was too young and wasn't good enough to race at that level so for free entry and to be involved I ran messages for the ACU officials between the start line podium area and the different staging posts. It was a bit like the Wild West in those days, it wouldn't be allowed now but I wasn't even ten years old and I would be running across the track at multiple points and even rode a bike back to the pit area when a lad was injured and couldn't ride it back.

We had a brilliant few days in the run up and during the racing.
We camped every night and again it was a bit lawless, open fires and high jinks in the evening.
