I’ve had them well over a week alreadyKungFooBob wrote: Mon Nov 09, 2020 9:04 pm Didn't you have one of those Honda 250's before?
I give the Tracer a week, at most.
Ok then, I give it 100 miles
I’ve done 6500 miles on it already........
The Tracer, not the Elgrand!

I wanted a bit more power than the 500x for the road and I saw this at under £8k new which was a chunk off so here it is

So far and it's only a brief ride it's more stable and composed. the suspension seems stiffer and better damped but time will tell. It's certainly not the soft wallowy feel I was expecting so don't know if the 2020 bikes have better suspension but certainly feels itSupermofo wrote: Tue Nov 10, 2020 9:38 am Seeing as you had an MT09 and ridden (I think) the XSR, how does the Tracer compare?
As i said, Dodgys in the paddock felt pretty bouncy.... sadly i didn't ride his to see how it was when out, but sitting on it it really felt bouncy.Couchy wrote: Tue Nov 10, 2020 11:18 amSo far and it's only a brief ride it's more stable and composed. the suspension seems stiffer and better damped but time will tell. I expected that too but it's far from bouncy which is a good thingweeksy wrote: Tue Nov 10, 2020 11:44 amAs i said, Dodgys in the paddock felt pretty bouncy.... sadly i didn't ride his to see how it was when out, but sitting on it it really felt bouncy.Couchy wrote: Tue Nov 10, 2020 11:18 amSo far and it's only a brief ride it's more stable and composed. the suspension seems stiffer and better damped but time will tell. As lostboy says it's a crf250rally, slow but very good off road and on road, big tank range compared to a proper enduro and big service intervals. But better on the road as theres lots of that green laning these days. Happy to sit at 70mph too. Did I mention slow as well ?
So both gone by springBigyin wrote: Tue Nov 10, 2020 7:06 pm How close are we to bike number 200, must be at least 3/4 of the way there or more by now.
I can see the little CRF staying quite a while but not sure the Tracer has a long shelf life chez couchy ...... enjoy the new toys![]()
