The force is weak....

Post by Wreckless Rat »

... my google-fu is weak. Help me guys and gals

I am looking for a disk backing plate... sort of like this... in the UK

New or second hand is fine by me, as cheap as possible (aluminium).

6" - 8" diameter

I'll be buggered by Harry while pushing back if I can find one...(someone pass the hat)

What's it for, it might be cheap to make one, or get one made.

Would we be correct in assuming that it's a sander disc backing plate? Any particular model/brand of sander?

So far.. a lump of ali to make one myself, would cost about £35-£45

Yea... that sort of thing. It will have a felt pad glued to it and used as a polishing wheel with cerium oxide paste.. when I find/make one.

Close - but not quite - and it’s on wish, which means it will never arrive.

The bit I don’t get is they are fitted to loads of bench disc sanders - someone must sell spares 🤔
