Anyone else purchased it this year?

Weather is looking perfect for the first week, not so sure about race week but fingers crossed.

I bought it, at £25 (i missed the discount dates) it's an absolute bargain.

Been watching this morning, shame it seems like there's been an off and it's currently red flagged. Seems like a serious one?

Rest of today cancelled so more than likely a bad one.

Bike went into spectators on Parliament Square exit. 8 injured plus rider. All conscious. Not heard of any there before.

I would imagine, and I'm only speculating, that the rider has come off and the bike has gone over the barrier into the crowd? The barriers at the IOM are pretty low, or just walls etc.

Hopefully, while they've been taken to hospital, they're reporting no life threatening injuries thankfully.

I guess with the Crowes last night and Maria Costello the night before, there's something very amiss with these new regulations that's causing a huge issue? Someone mentions that they've had to change the undertray so it's causing aerodynamic issues?

I think I read that the Crowes flipped (one of them was dragged and has burns on his back) - another comment was that they don't have enough downforce (is that the right word?) and so they are now too risky :(

They've always had the short end of the stick at the TT since I've been going/watching - if there's a shortage of practice time, the outfits lose out more than the solos; if race time is short, the outfits lose more.

If they were forced to change the undertrays to follow rules for the TT, then I'll need to get my tinfoil hat out :( :(

It's the right call if they are dangerous right now at this meeting, but I really really hope they can sort it and have them back next year cos they are freaking amazing to watch there.

No idea if the outfits get airbourne at Cadwell, but the first time I ever saw outfits racing I was at Ballaugh Bridge - I had no idea a side car to get that much air, land and still continue

Bloody awesome to watch and wish I'd known about it when young enough (and not broken) to have a go at passengering !!! :angelic-green:

Scrapping the sidecars altogether is an unusual move, I hadn't heard about any changes to body design regs or owt.

It tells me they're worried it could happen again. Not been a great week.

The organisers must have been aware that there's a problem as this year they all had restrictor plates fitted to slow them down.I think the Crowe brothers crash at Crosby jump showed the problem still exists

This is sad. Here's hoping the damage is temporary and if not she can manage to get back to racing anyway :( :(

This bit is a little bit of good news
The GoFundMe states she may be able to walk again, but the crash “will have a lifelong impact” on her.

Rehab is gonna be a bastard (the uk so needs a system like here! Just not gonna happen ☹️) but yes, crossing fingers a lot for her 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Crowe brothers crash. When you ain't sure why, it's a problem. Both fine.

Apparently Kyle Ryde is intending to ride his Honda Monkey bike from Nottinghamshire (home) to the next BSB round at Knockhill to help raise funds for Maria Costello. He's also asking if anyone wants to join him.

From Carsh.net - BSB champion plans incredible fundraising plan for injured Isle of Man TT racer

Maria Costello hit a hare at 140 apparently.
