Are you a 'Honda/Suzuki/Harley' or whatever kind of guy ?

Which are you and have you been another manufacturer guy ?
Mine is fairly tricky as i've owned a LOT of Ducatis, a lot of KTMs and quite a few Yamahas too.
But overall i'd say i'm a KTM kind of guy because if i was coming back to bikes, that's 99% where i'd end up. But i've probably owned just as many Yamahas as i have KTMs i think....
Ducatis always had 'something' though from the first ride the day i picked up a 916, it was in primer grey as it'd been crashed multiple times, but OH my .... What a thing that was.... The first ride was astonishing !!!
The only other bike that whacked me in the face like that was the first 990 Superduke.... that was what started the KTM thing and DAMN that was a thing..

Nope. I like motorbikes and been equally happy with Honda X 2, Kawasaki X 2, Yamaha X 5, KTM X 3 and Suzuki X 1. Not owned anything Italian or German mainly due to associated costs.

I used to be very much a Honda person, back in the 90's they were just built so much better than all the others.
Now I just buy what I like the look of.

No real brand loyalty - currently have two Triumphs and a Ducati
My preference in bikes would be twins - I prefer torque to HP.

Vtwin guy rather than a marque guy per se. But I'd choose Honda in a heartbeat for build quality and reliability alone.

I guess I've ended up being a BMW guy, but only really because i keep my bikes a long time, and I really gelled with one particular model. I wouldn't buy any of BMW's current offerings.
Before that, you could have called me a Kawasaki guy... but again, only because i happened to have 3 in a row, and the 3rd (Mirth 2) was again because I gelled with the 550Zephyr and it made sense to get another as a hack because i knew them well.

I was pretty much a 'is the nearest bike dealer any good?' sort of person. The choice was BMW or Honda. Later the nearest dealer was Triumph but they closed down before I'd decided to buy one.
(So, unsurprisingly, ignoring my early years, they've been Honda and BMW but I really wanted to see what a BMW GS with a Triumph triple engine in it would be like having ridden a friend's T595

).

Triumph are the only brand that I've gravitated to in any meaningful, deliberate, way. Bonneville, Daytona 675, Tiger 800, Street Triple 675, Speed Triple 1050, Sprint ST 1050, Trident 660.
Lots of Jap bikes across the four makes, couple of Guzzis.

Ha!

All Kawas in the garage at the moment.
On the surface it would seem,if you cut me I bleed team green. I don't think it's brand loyalty as such, more that Kawasaki in the past have made some bikes I really like. There's no logical thinking involved.
I've owned all the other Jap brands and enjoyed them. I wouldn't say I'm exclusively bent to the creations of Shozo, but there's a definite leaning.
I've never owned anything other than a Jap bike, aside from an R90S,which is perhaps a box left unticked. I've had runs on Aprilia and KTM,Tuono and Superduke 990 and thought they were great bikes. Nearly bought a V4 Tuono is as close as it gets to date.
I better hurry up before I get too fucking old....

When I was racing i had 5 Yamahas. Just because they what you needed.
For years after I had no affinity to a brand.
When I started instructing I needed a versatile litre bike.
The very first GSXR1000 ticked that box. Did everything I wanted.
2 years later I needed a new bike. Tried all the others but none suited me as much.
So I just ordered a new one every 2 years and always fab bikes.
Every summer we toured Europe so the bike really did have to be versatile.
And I never paid more than £8,750 as I bought in February when prices dropped in anticipation of the new bikes appearing in Spring.
Had 6 new ones in UK.
I bought the current one here coz it looked awesome and had €4000 off the list price. The missus dragged me to the sales guy and told me to buy it

I don't think there's much difference in the jap bikes, all very reliable. Most of the other brands aren't quite up there, but still worth a punt.
Best have a little mix i reckon.

Just bought what I liked at the time although my last 4 have been BMW because they suit my present day needs.
When they change I’ll just see what’s available with no brand loyalty.

I do err toward a Triumph as my experience of them has been good.

Hmm, probably a firmly in the Italian vee twin dull fart brigade as I've never owned a Ducati but had 3 Guzzis across 20+ yrs & 6 Moto Morinis.

As a youngster I was a Yamaha man, but i've switched to any marque in later life. Always found hondas to be the best built bikes but less so in late years.

Not really bothered , owned most of the well known brands except a Honda . Always have a look at Honda
but never quite fit the bill for me. In my younger sportbike days I always had a soft spot for Gsxr's.

No real brand loyalty, but a liking for Honda 'cos they do what it says on the tin. Others call that boring.
