This is the best I've seen so far. 10 minute charge and plenty of miles. Be pricey though.

737 ft-lbs of torque is going to need some managing.
I can't see a price and I became bored looking!

I'd envisaged getting a Zero leccy bike but buying a leccy car put me off, well, that and the price!

All that power and performance is useless without a fairing.

It's a lardy old bus - kerb weight is 518 lbs (235 kg), and power (despite the monstrous torque output) is surprisingly low at 137 hp.
That's a no from me, then.

Same weight as the original K100, but roughly twice the oomph.

They have been available to pre-order for several years but how many they have delivered is open to question. They made a big thing in the press here of delivering ONE bike to a customer. They also pulled a range stunt. They claimed 190 miles if I remember right. What they didn't say was the ride took 14 hours at an average of 12 mph riding round London. The latest claim for the solid state battery looks contentious too.
Did a long item on my webcast last Wednesday.

Riding it full underwater is a trick

Have seen this on a few YouTube videos and on websites around. I like the Verge and thought they have a nice looking motorcycle...... but I don't believe the hype around the battery. The best explanation I've seen about it, is its a large capacitor rather than a battery.
Until I see it charge up with the speed its supposed to and give the range, and they actually produce the battery I'll say the claim is rubbish, just more silly hype that does more harm than good. If it did work as advertised I'm sure they would have shown a video proving it charging at a fast charger.
Still think the bike is cool though.

Not very complimentary ...
All fine, apart from appalling customer service (especially considering the publicity opportunity - they knew what he was planning) along with the company lying about their relationship and support for him.

Pssst that was his opinion of the Zero not the Verge.
His opinion of the Verge wasn't an opinion at all, "I got a free bike for a bit, I rode it and I gave it back", about sums it up

Ah, ok
I got FED UP with scrolling through his MASSIVE LIST of clickbait videos. The one I watched was the first I found that seemed to have anything to do with electric bike'.

If you look at their range figures, they say 196 miles for "highway". But that's at a steady 56 mph, and with the battery upgrade. I guesstimate about half that - if it's accurate in the first place - at real world speeds with the standard battery.

And that range would be absolutely fine for people like me that do 45-50 miles a day commuting.
Instead of using a gallon of petrol I could get that done for £1 worth of electric.
The main thing that stopped me getting a used dsr x last year was the confidence in the dealers to be able to supply any parts I need to keep me riding all year round. Think 2000s Aprilia parts shortages on steroids.

All electric bikes, and to a lesser extent cars too, suffer from poor service support and extreme depreciation. My Silence S01 worked very well except for one design flaw, namely a weakness of the removable battery trolley system. The importers were unhelpful and I had to fix the failure myself. I would have been happy to part exchange it for a new version but no dealers would consider part exchange, even like-for-like and the UK importers now seem to have disappeared. So no technical support or warranty and 75% depreciation in less than three years.
If major manufacturers with established backup become interested I am sure things will improve, that is provided that dealer coverage in the UK does not continue to shrink. At a minimum there needs to be a main dealer within battery range of a two way trip.
