Take out the centre stand pin when it's new and grease it up,they seize over time and are a bugger to get out.

Don't worry about all that greasing the centre stand bollocks. Just gan it up on t'back wheel.

Collected the Cub from Dobles in Coulsdon yesterday.

Strange useing the old auto-clutch tranny again after 20 odd years, and it was like meeting an old friend.

I've owned a few C90s over the years, and they were mega reliable, getting me to and from work, and even the odd long-ish trip to the coast etc.

They were all fairly well thrashed in the time I owned them, and they recieved minimal maintenance, but I did very regular oil changes, as they don't hold a lot of oil, and I think that helps a lot.

Givi topbox on order, which is a must, as you can carry fuck-all on these little bikes.

As in the past, I can see me riding this a fair amount, in most weathers, as I do enjoy riding them as much as I enjoy riding most of the bikes that I've owned over the years.

Small bikes can be fun too.

Do they still have the toe and heal gear changer and still 3 speed. ? We used to have one for messing in the fields, well, a lap around the perimeter taking turns, great fun.

Exactly the same, but 4 speed now. Also fully cyclic as the later c90s. That is, N-1-2-3-4-N, or you can go back down the box using the heal.

Obviously, a bit more grunt with the extra 34cc.

A wee bit of pressure on the gear lever to activate the clutch,then it allows you to give it a blip to ease the downchange. I loved my little Innova. It was the tubed tyres that became a dealbreaker,as every puncture was game over.
