New (to me) Triumph scrambler 400x
Delivered today, but too bloody cold today, hope go for a spin tomorrow. 2025 with 2k miles, so already run in, state of the arthritis in my hands will probably be my last bike, but hopefully will get in a few rides before using a clutch becomes too hard.

Already use the wrist support stuff, next step will be a twist and go scooter or a leccy wheelchair to get to the local weatherspoons like all the other ancient bikers around here

Crf300 has a slip/assist clutch. It's really very very light. Honda is fitting the e-clutch to more bikes each year.

Nice little bikes the triumph 400's.
And despite what people say scooter life isn't that bad, especially if you go for something like I have, the x-adv, which is more of a motorbike tbh. And definately quicker than something like a Honda Grom

I popped into the Triumph dealer late summer in Dunmow and those 400s look nice, tempted by one myself as a potential 2nd bike

Heated grips and gloves will help ease the old Arthur on cold days.
Edit...have you tried Udder mint for your jazz bands? Mrs.Skub, ever the sceptic seems to think it actually does work.

Thread the security chain through an old inner tube (size to suit) and you get rubber protection

Re: New (to me) Triumph scrambler 400x
Went out two days ago for about an hour, manly fine, one dodgy bit on the way back when down changing for a corner, dash went blank and engine stalled. Stopped, turned ignition off for a minute. Turned t on again and all fine while getting home, apparently this has been known to happen to these but only until some miles are built up. If it does happen will get in touch with the triumph dealer i got it from and have a discussion. Hopefully be out at the weekend if not before.
