FB hacking - sneaky!

I just got an FB message from someone I know in resort asking for my number, it's urgent.
She'd written in French and I wouldn't be her first contact for anything really, but I'm tired and didn't really think about it (I'm also used to speaking 90% French now so a text in French from a Fronche didn't seem that odd!)
So (yes I know, stupidly) I sent her my number as she was sending a message saying her phone is blocked and the operator needs to send the new sim by text but she doesn't have another number to use.
I did cross my mind that her hubby should be about, but I know he's recently done a big cycle so thought maybe he was still away.
Then she came back and asked for my telephone operator - hmmmm
Finally it clicked. I replied with "why on earth would they need 'my' operator info" (strangely, no reply to that
)
I (belatedly) went back and changed then deleted my number in the conversation. Text her and her hubby to say I think she'd been hacked, they both said yes, she's been hacked
So I've changed my FB password, and am very happy that I have never put my phone number on FB !!!!
I've got another mate who has lost her FB account three times now (I've known her about 10 years, so it's not all recent!) - not sure if she's shit with passwords!! Or what anyone gets out of hacking an FB account? So cross fingers I've dodged it - if you think there's anything else I should do, do tell!!
They'm sneaky bastards. If I hadn't been up since 2:30 this morning I might have picked up on it sooner (just from the fact she was texting me in French
) - but I might not
