Another Enduro mash up at Twisted. It's a bit earlier this year on 2nd November.

There's a pairs category and a new Teams competition too.

Was looking at that last night actually but not sure if the boy wants to race and wants maybe a bit more of an end of season rest.

It's always a good day out - presuming it's not freezing or pouring down.

I hope to be doing it, but the guy I normally ride with broke his collarbone in June and he's only just getting back to riding so he's not sure he wants to risk it.

Cheers. Looks like some rain the day before so even though it dries pretty quickly I’d imagine it’ll be nice and slippy there.

Doesn't really affect the place in truth, it's massively sand based so just disappears.

Don't they use the bit at the bottom of the hill where the stream is anymore, that used to get muddy.

Dunno, only raced there once and it stopped at the fire road which is the natural end.

Yeah the bit by the stream is still there, it’s part of the xc course and yep it does get very muddy.

There used to be more xc along the bottom but that’s no longer there, most of it is the other side of the fire road in the woods.

It went pretty well, I finished 22/33 in my category. I kept getting faster with each stage run apart from the last two which meant it was time to go home!

Good fun day and the rain stopped just as the racing started so it had plenty of time to dry out.

Cheers. I certainly felt it yesterday!

It looks like they changed the age grouping from previous years - this year it was 30-44 and previously 40-49 so I feel even better knowing I was racing people 14 years younger! I'm tempted to try a proper one next year...

Those tacky chan tyres though are just awesome, much nicer than the dhf/dissector combo I had before.
