Anyone ever used K-Tech for suspension?

I had the forks in the Diavel re-done with K-Tech cartridges about 8 or so years ago. The bike has done a stunning 4k miles since then.
Anyway - bike in having rear brake sorted, and then a fluids service, they noticed the fork seal were buggered (the bike is 15 yr old). So forks whipped out to service.
One of the K-Tech fork top as seized - ProTwins can’t sort , sent back to K-Tech, who’s response was “we can’t sort, and we no longer supply or have that part” !

Doesn’t really sound like a company looking after a customer :(

No they used to be excellent many years ago, but don't seem to give a shit anymore. I stopped using them 20 years ago after they built a steering damper up incorrectly meaning I had nowhere near full lock in one direction. When I pointed the error out they were very ungraceful but had to sort it. I've used Darren at Mct ever since, give him a try he's always been mega for me.

Yeah, I've not used them for 20+ years, but back then the service was 2nd to none.

Yes, I had the suspension on my KTM 525 EXC re done for supermoto.
It wasn't cheap, but it was very good.

But this was nearly 20 years ago !

Never used them myself but certainly heard of them back on the VD and TRC days. They always seemed to be held in very high regard, so I'm surprised to hear this, but then 8 years is a long time?

When I (finally) get the suspension sorted on my bike, did I mention my dashed idleness, I'm intending on using MCT. But it's not that far from me.

7 years is not a long time in the auto world for something to become obsolete

I've had MCT rework K-Tech kit for me in the past - MCT is always my first stop these days.

I had K-Tec cartridges put in the forks on the Zed about 4 years ago by SSR suspension. Great job,but I've never had to deal with K-Tec themselves.

I get the impression that K-Tech just want to supply kit to people like MCT and SSR rather than doing the work themselves. Having to deal with end users is not really where they're at these days.

Just got recommended by Dave Woods racing to go to MCT to get the suspension sorted on the Morini scrambler - good to hear they've got such a good rep 👍

Kais might be worth a phonecall.

I still mourn the loss of Revs Racing in Halesowen. John and Nick were great blokes and did great work at sensible prices. I think John pointed all his customers to Darren at MCT in the run up to his retirement.

Daren at MCT has done a few of my bikes, each one noticeably transformed.

He did my RSV-R a number of years ago. Nothing replaced, just set up the standard suspension. He took it out for a run, on damp roads, came back with balls of rubber on the rear tyre edges, both sides.

Yeah, he was always annoyingly faster than the rest of us in mid Suffolk
