This Supermono was in Bike magazine,not seen anything on here about it so I had a look to see if there's anything online.

131KG's! I wonder what a road going version would weigh?

The road bike it's based on (the Guerrilla 450) is 184kg, according to the More Crap then News.

That really is shit

I'd take hurl on it just to enjoy the power to weight ratio. Not much fussed on the visuals.

I actually quite like the look of that. Almost looks like they've re-purposed the Guerilla pillion hangers for the 'rear-sets'!

They've compared it with the dry weight, I reckon.

It appeals to me as I CBA with loads of Powaah these days but on the back roads & twisties that I enjoy,the power to weight ratio sounds fun.

I don't know about the Guerrilla's weight,but according to that article the weight of the 'Supermono' includes all fluids plus 5 Litres of fuel.

Bennetts bike social reckon the Guerrilla is 174kg dry.

It's not for folk looking for a top-end rush, that's for sure! But it's actually not a bad little lump to be honest.

The 450 G will go 100mph but it's the acceleration you miss. In the real world its acceleration you need. Overtakes can be dangerous if it takes an age. 70 odd bhp is a different thing altogether. Over the last 2 or 3 years I've finally found this out.

Dunno, anyone who rode stuff like Fizzies back in the day might remember the "Notgonnaslowdownforanyfucker" way of thinking.

Visually it's a mess, and I really don't understand the cut off stubby race seat. Why not a decent size seat that fits with the rest of the bike? Interestingly the forks they use are the less often seen Marzocchis (Showas were fitted to most of the Falco production run) but still a perfectly good fork. I just hope they've put some softer fork springs in, otherwise it will be like riding a road drill.

It's also seriously over-braked with 2 x 320mm discs stopping 130kg and hi-spec machined Brembo calipers up front (even if they are the older axial caliper mounting).

Sort the seat and the paintjob out and it would be a top little tool for the back roads. 200 bhp is soooo over-rated...

My mate successfully competed on a Supermono some years ago. He purchased one that had a twin disc ATE set up. After his very first ride on it, one disc and caliper was removed, as he thought it massively overbraked, and would never get used to it.

Absolutely. My Duke 690 (which weighs at least 30kg more that this RE) only has a single disc/caliper at the front and the brakes are superb. Certainly doesn't need any more.

The fact axial calliper mounting is considered old makes me feel the same.
