Hmmm. Well MM93 says so. I was very surprised to say the least.

I suppose it's an expansion of the argument that a skilled rider can out-brake ABS?

If you're more constant you're going to be faster, if you can lean further and brake later safely then you'll be faster.
You look like a prize gimp sitting on a bike with all that aero mind.

I agree with Marquez (but I still think he's a twat), with electronics you can only go as fast as the electronics allow you to, if you have the talent you can be faster without them.

Electronics don't make me faster... what with not being fast enough to bother the electronics.

They don't make you faster, yet all the riders want the best ones even at the very top level
I agree they don't make you faster when you're on it 100%, but no human is. They make you more consistently fast, which is what actually wins a race.

No they don't. Most MotoGP riders want to ride on their own ability. Rossi wanted them banned 10 years ago.

They can always ask their boss to turn them off.
Expect that might make them slower

No. They can't. Sealed ECU.

Didn't Pedrobot cash a few years back because the rear wheel speed sensor had a broken cable, he was expecting the TC to kick in when he gave it a load of gas and it didn't, flicking him at the scenery?

No. They can't. Sealed ECU.
Sealed ECU means they can't modify the hardware or re write the base software, it doesn't mean they can't change anything. They still have loads of adjustments they can make, they're just limited to the adjustments which the ECU has "knobs" for. There's nothing in the rules to stop the teams from changing the point when various things activate and by how much, so long as it's within the range of adjustment the ECU allows.
They could "set everything to minimum" if they wanted.

Given there have been changes that were subsequently 'outlawed' in motorsports because they made things too fast, I wonder what the limits are. ie build a car/bike to get round Silverstone as fast as technology currently allows. What would it look like/have? How much faster than the current crop would it be?
(Cars limited to 4 wheels (6, รก la Tyrrell maybe), bikes 2

).

Porsche kinda did that with the 919 Evo, their derestricted Le Mans car.

MotoGP could definitely use more hedge hazards.

I remember that, the corner before or shortly before someone clipped his rear breaking the wire and he went to infinity and beyond on the exit of the next corner

I remember that race. If he'd known about the problem, he'd have been fine.
The unexpected caught him out.

I'm sure he could have ridden around it had he known, but it does prove he was expecting electronic help.

In a road car you'd get a CEL or similar when a speed sensor like that loses signal. You might even get it on the MotoGP bike, but I doubt he was looking at the dashboard.
MotoGP bikes don't have to pass MoTs of course, so maybe they don't have the warning lights

I was thinking that exact thing. But maybe people think Dani was a slow rider who needed the help
Fact is, no matter how good a rider you are, the electronics help you ride on the limit 100% of the time, and that inevitably makes you faster. Look at what invariably happens to BSB riders when they dip their toes in WSB. No experience of the electronics so they're at the back.
