I have been an Arai wearer for years and have always had a medium. I tried some on this weekend and the small seemed to fit better - much tighter while the mediums felt they had a lot more movement.

Has anyone else noticed a change in their sizing or just me?

Yeah, they're a completely different shape and sizing from 10 years back

What model was it?

I think the QV is totally different size wise to the rest of the range.

Tried 3 - chaser, one retro style and something else, and small seemed to fit best. Was a bit weird as my current lid says 57cm and small's are 56.

Maybe I am really dead and my head's being pre-shrunk for some cannibalistic ritual.

I'm sure my medium Axces II and TourX4 are both 58.

I think Arai seem to have different actual shell shape/sizes for their different models, and the sizings don't quite match up (eg a RX7RRRRRRRRRR (how many Rs this year?) Medium will be different to a QV medium, which will be different to a Chaser medium. Maybe due to different internals for each lid too? The other manufacturers don't (seem) to have this disparity.

For Chaser it always used to be:
Small - 55/56
Medium - 57/58
large - 59/60

I think they are doing different shell sizes in some of models now so the crossover has changed?

Long term Arai user here.

I've an RX7-GP and an Axces,both fairly recent (4 years or so) I'm still a medium and haven't noticed any difference in fit for my bonce.

The things haven't got any quieter,though....

Arai also do different shell shapes for different countries,so if a lid is an import the actual fit may feel different even if the sizing is labelled the same.

I've got a QV and I beelieve its the same shell as and RX, says "R75 shape" on the box. It's a large at 58cm I had a Shoei large last time but before that was an Aria medium at 57-58cm.
