What would you do?

I have an opportunity to buy back a bike I owned in the early 80s.
Pros are,I enjoyed my 7 or so years of ownership and only sold it because I wanted a GPZ900R and couldn't afford two bikes.
It's a well made bike and one of the few I made money on when I sold it,as it was deemed collectable. The current owner has always said it'll be the last bike he sells, but sadly his recent health has become a priority and he can no longer ride.
The bike is 51 years old now,but a very usable classic.
Cons are,my garage would be at maximum capacity and although possible, very cramped. One would have to be outside if I need to work on one of them.
It's not my favourite flavour of team green.
Indulge me,what would the assembled silly arseholes of RTTL do in my position?

What is it?
BTW I don't think I'd want any of my old bikes. Maybe my race LC350 for nostalgia.

What is it?
For the random purpose of non scientific discernment, the make and model will be obscured until such times when I deem it pertinent

I'd ask your other half about parking one of the 'Collection' in the house, otherwise sell one of the other 3,or don't sell any, stick with the memories & spend the money you've saved on other motorcycle related stuff.

If it's an R90S, buy the fucking thing.

If it'll be ridden buy it, if it'll languish in a garage then skip it

If you want it, can afford it and have somewhere to keep it, buy it.

The question that springs to mind is "what if you don't buy it"
I won't ever forget buying a cx500 years after owning one. My rose tinted glasses were quickly shattered. Memories are often better than reliving the past.

He's already got a few by the sounds of it, he's trying to decide if he should buy another one.

Sounds like you are enjoying old bikes more these days, maybe it's time to move the Z1000 on. However if it's the Z1 or GS1000 you remember how bad the handling was ? R90S is nice but wasn't yours black? I suppose you could repaint it the proper Orange

I still love riding the Zed,it's the one I'd take if I was going a fair distance, plus it's cool to come back to performance, brakes and handling.

GS1000S handle okay, Z1s don't, OTOH, try finding a GS1000 with a gearbox in good condition.

You're asking should you buy a bike, but you're not telling us what the bike is?

Build a heavy duty shelf on the RH wall as you open the door. Store the least used bike up the shelf
