There seems to be a lot of chatter about the new GB350S. Honda may have a hit on their hands and take a few hipster sales from RE.

It's a Honda,so for me it raises feelings of great indifference,but it is kinda cute...

They've managed to price them pretty close to the 350 Enfield Classic, I expect them to have much better residuals, however the Enfield do do classic looking better.

I know which I'd have though.

I like the looks of that little Honda so much so that I'm tempted to demo one when things warm up a bit.I've watched some very positive reviews on YT,I think Honda will sell lots of them & I'd rather have the Honda than the RE's.It's a pity that they never produced a succesor to the CB250RS,I've also read that they're building a 500 single,if that comes to light I'd be very tempted.

The little 350 RE is pants. OK for a short bimble, but pretty gutless. The Honda 350 will be similar.

For a few more sheckles you can have a CB500. Similar weight but 47bhp, a twin so a bit smoother, and it will be just as good for the bimble and a lot better if you want to go somewhere.

Do they do a retro-ey CB500? They probably should.

You can have fun with 28hp or thereabouts on the road, but it must be the right sort of road. Imo, to fit in well on any road you need to be nearer 50hp.

Bloke at work told me the triumph speed 400s are having a few problems, not sure what though. The floodlights do seem to be shining on the smaller stuff these days.

The do the naked, a faired version, an adventure version and a cruiser-ish one. The naked F is good, the R version is even better, the X one has an increasing range of ADV goodies and is alleged to be a better bike for rough terrain than a BMW behemoth, and the cruiser is weird shaped. When I bought mine I had no options, the one in the showroom or wait for Covid to end. I would probably have had the R version if I had had a choice.

My Mum has an R, bought brand new, she's had it aa few years and done about 17 miles.

The CL500 is a faux scrambler version of the cruiser, looks kinda of retro.

Back in the early 80's some mates & me were touring France & met two brothers who were on a beaten up CB250RS that they bought back from the insurance for £75,it looked good fun on the French back roads & wasn't to slow on the RN's.
If that 350 is something similar or they make a air cooled 500 I think they'll sell loads of them.

My first trip abroad on a bike was with a mate who had a CB250RS and it was a cracking little bike. I was on my 350LC and on the twisty stuff it was just as quick as the LC. It only lost out on the faster straighter roads, but not by that much.

be interested if there's any discounts on the speed 400? It's £1300 more expensive than the Honda but nearly double the bhp, have to look at some reviews for that as well, didn't even know it existed. really fancy something small cc to bimble about on.

Blimey. It's got a whopping 20 bhp.
Just Googled 1977 CB350. That had 2 bhp more.

Nearly 50 years newer and less power.

WTF???
