Cannonball double run

Post by Sadlonelygit »

Some American loons did a cannonball, then turned around and went straight back....in just under 62 hrs.
That's an average of 90+
I knew Neal Champion who held/holds the LEJOG record at 8-ish hours GPz750 turbo (78 AVE) and remember him saying that 130 down the hard shoulder started to get a bit risky, and that in retrospect it was a foolhardy thing to do!

To put it into perspective, Le Mans winners do about 2500 miles in 24 hrs, on a closed circuit in a full on race car!

I've driven across the USA, vast parts of it have straight, empty roads.
