Looks pre-crashed. If it had a silly angle tail unit I might think it'd been posted from SF magazine circa 2005!

Track bike without fairing?
Just plain daft.

Now as you can imagine, that part i don't agree with. Track riding isn't all about speed. The most fun i had on track in all my years was on my 690 Duke, which is not only unfaired, but massively underpowered too. It was all about 'playing' rather than lapping and speed.

I meant that an unfaired bike is shite above 90.weeksy wrote: ↑Tue Nov 05, 2024 1:25 pmNow as you can imagine, that part i don't agree with. Track riding isn't all about speed. Just hanging on against the wind.
Gets tiring lap after lap. IMHO.

You're right on all of that... but honestly that's part of the fun. The getting down low and tucking, then popping up late on the brakes and thinking "hang the fuck on the throttle boy"Yorick wrote: ↑Tue Nov 05, 2024 1:32 pmI meant that an unfaired bike is shite above 90.weeksy wrote: ↑Tue Nov 05, 2024 1:25 pmNow as you can imagine, that part i don't agree with. IMHE , it doesn't really any more than on a faired bike, and it's actually really fun trying to stay tucked in and ride flat out, ( as you would know if you actually tried it )Yorick wrote: ↑Tue Nov 05, 2024 1:32 pmI meant that an unfaired bike is shite above 90.weeksy wrote: ↑Tue Nov 05, 2024 1:25 pmNow as you can imagine, that part i don't agree with. I'm sure it's brilliant but the belly pan looks really cheap & It'd look way better without the number boards.
And yes, 50k?!?!

Having done 160 mph on an unfaired bike it isn't much different to 160 on a 1998 R1, you have to get flat on the tank on either bike, a 1985 GSXR750 is better than either at speed, you just duck down a little to get out of the wind.
