The joke response to that question is "about two decades". I'll leave you to decide who is behind and who is ahead. :D
Fair comment.

You're doing it all wrong man. This is how I did it at the weekend.

Is it leaking air? If not, I'd pull the nail out and carry on.

It's not leaking, but I'm not paying for the replacement.

No spare just a can of gloop and a poxy little compressor like lots of cars. It's a company car, a 74 plate Skoda with less than 5000 miles. If it was mine I would have done exactly what you suggested :)

This:

The useless idiots at KTLA5 will immediately resort to ridiculous fake Brit accents when reporting about any UK actor etc. I asked why they don't use fake German or Asian accents when reporting about people from those places...

I mostly put up with the BBC's thinly veiled adverts but constant 'news' articles about a light entertainment show are getting irritating.
Today's headline about a celeb I haven't heard of farting in a show I stopped watching years ago is taking the piss.

Spam is almost always annoying. The latest spam email was annoying and amusing. It was supposedly from Elmhurst University in Chicago asking me "What Do You Want to Be When You Grow Up?"

I'm 76 years old and I still don't know. :D

Quooker tap

Appropriate thread title ...

Difficult to use, unnecessarily complicated, potentially dangerous, expensive pile of boiled piss

Although, in theory, having 'instant' boiling water available might seem a great idea, the implementation is awful.

Stayed the w/e in a place with one.

Tea drinkers said it didn't really work. It spitted and hissed, to the extent one person was filling a small jug to pour into mugs. And, at one point, the reservoir seemed to run out of pre-heated hot water, so it just dribbled warm.
Even bland can be a type of character

We have one and love it - especially for instant water for tea!

One part failed in the 2.5 years its been fitted and they replaced under warranty.

Yes, 2k is a lot for a tap, but happy with filtered boiling water, chilled filtered water or carbonated water.

If you cook a lot of pasta or rice or boil veg frequently it really makes things quicker.

Yes they're spendy but we got ours at trade price and there's usually decent deals on them, especially if you're speccing a new kitchen at the same time.

Our fridge does the cold filtered water thing so we just got a plain boiling one and never had a problem. They get less hissier over time.

IMO you can get a decent mug of tea with one but only if you use about 3 mugs worth off water making sure the water is actually near boiling before it gets anywhere near the teabag. Much easier with a decent kettle.

With Quooker, it's instant - ask my daft step-son! It's kept at boiling point in a vacuum flask, so no delay
