Used my new Lawnmower. Quite impressed with it, which is good as it's not something I enjoy spending my money on.
Wassat?

@Mr Moofo be careful, you don't want one of these. How's the healing going?
IMG_3561.jpeg
@MingtheMerciless
It's healed - the fracture clinic have signed me off with a jovial ( or perhaps snide) comment of " Don't ride mountain bike or motorbike for three months (unless you are going to do it gently). I guess I will see you three months then"
trying to build strength into the hand - three weeks out of plaster and it is just beginning to come back. Enough to work a Ducati clutch - but not too many times

Just got a text from an old friend that I've not heard from in a year or so - never going to be good news
the news was that an old mate's son was in a bike vs car accident (apparently possibly two cars) a couple of days ago. In Southmead hospital, no other info
Have managed to find out this -
Critical but stable in ICU. Starting to move his legs and left hand a little bit and also open his eyes. He is breathing unaided but unfortunately has a bad chest infection
I had determined that I'd not chase for info, but I did succumb and message his wife this morning. the response was -
He is doing really well. Going up now to see him xx
Difficult to know how good that is as I don't have any info on the starting point, but if she's positive, I will try harder to be positive!!
I keep looking for the 'crossed fingers' emoji - but, <<crossing fingers big time >>

Eat.
I'm having colonoscopy tmrw and today is my starvation day. I'm bloody starving.
And really looking forward to the "emptying" of my system later.
Gotta do it at 3:00 then 8:00

Never had one of them, thankfully. I get to dip a stick in my poo once a year and post it off to a lucky lab technician. That's unpleasant enough.
Although lately I've more fingers up my backside than Basil Brush.

I have two bad memories of this procedure..... well lots actually: drinking the go go juice, drowning from the inside, the lighting crew up your jacksie and the biggest,longest fart ever in the history of man.
Enjoy

Two trams to get to the cable car... which closed 2 days ago for scheduled maintenance. So went for a walk in the woods to look for bears. I did see a lizard.

Thought I was in a Whatsapp message exchange with Mrs. Gremlin. Made an in-joke comment about my mum maybe having a bit of dementia after all. Then suddenly realise I'm typing in the group that includes Mrs. Gremlin
and my mum. I deleted it, but not quick enough I fear.

I've just had an awesome evening. A mate messaged me yesterday to as if I can cat sit in October for her and a friend (they are neighbours!).
She then invited me for dinner, but - no transport!
After a bit more messaging she just said, I'm coming to you tomorrow instead. If you really don't want a visitor, tell me when I check, but I think you do so I'm heading over!
We had a drink out and then I heated up some homemade spring rolls from the freezer for 'dinner' (which she loved!).
We've had such an amazing evening of chat, catching up, finding out whats been going on with each other (she's about to move away to Brittany

)
Feeling like I've got my foot back on the bottom rung of the ladder again.
Proper friends are rare and so very important. She's awesome

Went to see the knee ortho as my PCP thought my knee gubbins that was installed on Dec 3 '19 may have come loose.
Ortho dude looked at the CT scan & announced all good. Maybe some discomfort from tendons rubbing on the Ti gubbins etc.
Dr: The plastic bit does wear out eventually, but you're not running marathons are you?
Me: The only thing I run is my mouth.....
Very cute nurse liked that one
