Austin Seven engine in 1930s Norton.

I think I've seen/heard of something else similar. There's something perverse about putting car engines in bikes....

There was a Brough Superior model, but it didn’t really reach production on a factory scale.

I've actually seen one of those being used in mild frustration, ("used in anger" would have been overstating it!).

It was at the Festival of 1000 bikes at (iirc) Silverstone, about 30 years ago. Never seen one since.

The handling must have been seriously odd, but the guy riding it seemed to cope

I met a guy in Scarborough who put a Reliant engine in a Sunbeam. It was a lovely fit, I think it might be this one

A schoolmates brother put an engine from an AC into a Lambretta. :D

(It was from an invalid carriage  Probably a Villiers engine rather than the Steyr-Puch 500cc job. My memory says it was 300cc+ but there's only one option in that range).

That's listed as an R6, but it's obviously not one; that's an fzr400exup frame, the dot in the middle gives it away.

Maybe it has an fzr600 engine in it,or maybe the seller is just an idiot, idk.

I also see thundercat forks sticking up too high out the yokes and with some overly exciting caliper brackets, an R6 tail bodged on pretty nasty...

The side panels look like original fzr400, but does anyone recognise the headlight? I'm stuck at rvf400 but it's not.

Is the swingarm original with a brace added, or what?

I think that's an early R6 swingarm. The forks... why fit them, but not the bluespot callipers that are vastly superior to the FZR ones!

The headlamps have a whiff of NC35 about them.

Front mudguard looks like 2005ish R6.

Headlights aren't nc35 nor r7...

The description on the ad looks like it was lifted straight from Wikipedia.

It's not to my taste but it wouldn't take much to get it looking reasonable - original seat, remove the hugger (or get a simple plain black one) and remove the belly pan. The exhaust looks offensively loud.

Willing to bet that's from using ebay's 'let AI write a description for you' feature...I tried it once out of interest & this is the sort of result you get.
