£100... yes 2.8% isn't a great return , I've got a H and L cash isa at 4.55, think 4.3 now, went down with interest rate change. Also from October my bonds were down to 46k. I'll probably just leave my bonds as they are and slowly top up the isa.

I was thinking about a SandSs isa but looked like there was fees involved and didn't want anymore of that. Last year I reduced my fees on my drawdown pension by cancelling " ongoing advice " as I'm now pulling off it and feel I don't need it. 👍🏻

Nowt again. Though I have bought some more last week. So for the next draw I'll have £9k in there, which in my experience is pretty close to the "prize most months" figure ?!

About what we’ve got.

We get a prize every couple of months on average, it’s not quite at the stage of monthly.

Surely though if you use that £150 then your overall stake in the course of the year goes down ? Due to the inflation factor and your £50k now being worth £49500 for example.

So the actual payments unless it's a big number, is self defeating ?

Dunno jack about inflation etc as i'm not a money guy. All I know is I've drawn out of the pot a few times to buy things, and it always replenishes itself. I don't even look, but eventually notice it can no longer auto-reinvest winnings and then transfers winnings to my eSavings account at my bank. So it feels like whatever I drew out money to buy was for free! Man maths at its finest... :D

Weeksy is getting the hang of this finance lark. I may offer him a job if he passed the Brylcreem and red braces application.

If inflation is running at 3% and your savings are earning 2.5%, you're losing money. Gotta take inflation into consideration.

I know I keep banging on, but there are better saving and investment vehicles out there. PBs are tax-free and govt. backed, granted, and you may win a fair chunk, but work out how much interest you are actually earning, then go Googling. Make sure any money is backed by the FSCS and you won't go far wrong.

Finance fact: Low interest rates spur inflation as your money is worth more today than it will be in six months time, so be sensible and buy a Panigale this afternoon.
