Agreed...but I live in Wales which has been mask compulsory since around 1832.
I work in a store in Aberystwyth...we had a lady in today, who , upon watching her elderly mother coughing her ring up aid...its the masks, I'm from Leeds, we don't wear them up there.
The number of people who swan through without them is truly amazing.

Sadly I don't have a winter contract yet. And my guess is that if the Swiss news is true, I'm not gonna get one. Not really sure what's gonna happen if that's the case

Jody has two jobs over here, one for each season, and (it seems)various it in the UK. I've not worked in the UK for 5 years and really have no interest in moving back!

I've been on a sick note as unable to lift anything much so haven't worked since the operation. Nerves not 100% but strength coming back. Sicknote finishes 5th December and had a job lined up to start the 6th. But that's dependant on tourists coming in - which, if the uk goes on the French red list as well as Swiss won't happen

Geneva is 2.5 hours away and I have no vehicle - TBF any job other than transfers will be a challenge with no vehicle but I'd manage. But the transfer job was lined up and sorted


Gonna message the winter job and see what he says - if he backs out I'll try find something else for sure.

Didn't need to before as was all set for the winter to coincide with physios and doctor being happy for me to lift luggage and drive for 8 hours a day.


So much for positive thinking that this winter would go ahead.

The thing I don't understand is that non-mask wearers appear proud of it. Surely they're either wets and weeds (I don't like it, can't bear it, it's not nice mummy), deluded (I know better than all them there advisers and can google something to prove it), or just plain selfish bastards (I'm jabbed, fcuk those who aren't or can't be or are stuck behind a counter and have no choice but to interact with ME), or finally, I'm well 'ard me, covid wouldn't dare touch me....ie congenitally stupid.

Whichever, I might not shout about it if I wasn't a wearer.

This is the hypocritical stuff I'm on about, you've gone through your whole life turning a blind eye to all sorts of misery and death because it suited you, but now you want to talk about saving lives because it's fashionable.

And now you're telling me I'm all about me? Tell me, how many courses do you put on to help people get fit? How many healthy eating courses? How many anti-smoking courses?
I run at least one of each, three of some, and two I run them personally, as in leading exercise or training people, for no other reason than I want people to live healthier lives. Wearing masks is not as important as any of those in the grand scheme of things.

Normally if someone I don't know suffers it doesn't affect me but people getting sick with Covid does affect me, it causes restrictions and stresses the NHS.
If my mask wearing prevents someone else catching it if I didn't realise I was infected then it was worth the slight inconvenience.
