The Brazilian government are telling you that!
Did you not get the emails, haven't you seen the bleeding heart virtue signalling from previous COP summits.
Obvs not the Brazilian government, but those that this is being done for / on behalf of
True. All the jetting around the world on regular jollies isn't exactly on message. I hope they have the good grace to be embarrassed and annoyed at their new venue.

It does seem that the Brazilians are taking the mickey out of the whole thing.

Don't be silly. Everyone wins, the Brazillians get the kudos of a COP summit, the assorted participants get to go somewhere new they haven't seen before, the new road lets logging trucks get into that lovely virgin forrest, when the jungle is finally erradicated the farmers can grow extra beef to belch and fart more to boost the methane levels, and the USA can get even fatter on the resulting beef burgers. What is the problem?

+ they've trashed an açai plantation - açai powder is already eye-wateringly expensive. Reducing output won't help. :(

I'm a bit miffed on behalf of a friend. Her 85 year old father with a colostomy bag and a kidney drain bag was admitted to hospital, someone at the hospital decided the best course of action was heart surgery. You have to wonder why they would take a frail old man and decide to properly fuck him up.

That seems to happen too often. Obviously every case is unique, but if your friend has concerns, speak to the anaesthetist.

WTF! By way of contrast, when my Step Dad was in hospital they drained litres of fluids from his lungs and said he may have cancer, but would need to go to another hospital to be 100% sure, so they wouldn't be doing it. When i asked why, they said he is too frail to undergo chemo or other treatments, so they would move to palliative care. I kinda got the (brutal) point.

OTOH my GP, on the very few occasions when I have seen him, tends to dismiss everything as "Well, you are getting older". FFS, I am old, but I am also (with one or two exceptions) fit and healthy. I will not be coming to you just to complain, I want to know what the problem is, and what can be done about it. :angry-cussingblack:

Individually wrapped tea bags

They don't keep the product any fresher

They do make them more inconvenient
They do produce needless waste.

Yes @Lipton referring to you

People bombing along country lanes, taking out your wing mirror*, and fucking off.

I know it'd be 50/50 despite the DashCam footage, but it'd be nice to agree that in person.

*Folded it in and smashed the indicator lens, so £12 later and a weekend job, and I'm sorted. Hurrah for the FocusOfDestiny commuter.

Thought I would try ServiceStop to get my car serviced with oil change and filter. Seemed a good price and the collect and return the car, which works for me with being busy at all that. They did just over 45 miles, taking the car over the Dartford bridge so I had to pay that charge to avoid a PCN as well. I told them to just do the oil and filter, nothing else. And they then added drop links, rear shocks as advisory etc when it had an MOT last week that was clear.

I did the fuel treatment for £10 on Saturday, car has new discs and pads all round. Also new wheel bearing hubs (said there was a wheel bearing grumble - which I know is not the case).

Tell me what is wrong with the below:

1.00 FULL SERVICE (LABOUR) 102.37
1.00 CHANGE OIL FILTER 0.00
1.00 COLLECTION & DELIVERY 0.00
1.00 OIL SURCHARGE (SPECIALIST OIL) 24.99
1.00 RENEW: BRAKE FLUID 189.93
1.00 ENGINE FLUSH 89.95
1.00 REMOVE & REFIT: AUXILIARY DRIVE BELT 298.25
1.00 FUEL TREATMENT 85.30

Pretty much everything is wrong with it. :angry-cussingblack: That's a disgrace and is all unauthorised work. Talk to trading standards.

I made sure they only did oil and filter. The rest is going to be done by me!

You say ServiceStop, but is this Servicing Stop, because the online reviews would paint them to be long time cowboys / scam monkeys best avoided?

Quote. I only accepted oil/filter change.

I stand corrected. Yes, Servicing Stop. Convenience of being able to have car collected/serviced/returned. Never again!

Live and learn vicar, live and learn, it boggles me how such companies can continue in business for so long without being held to account
