Re: What have you done today thread?
14k steps and 60 'floors' walking around one of the nicest bits of the planet. Popped into a village hall art exhibition for tea and cake, bought a nice giclée print of a crab
Strolled on up the hill to a 'healing sanctuary*' for their open garden event...bluebell woods, meditation glade, perfect views of this green and pleasant land** etc etc, more tea and cake available, then on to the Albury sports ground to watch the juniors play cricket, more tea and cake available but had a sandwich.
All in all, just a perfect day.
* more like a stately home...there's money in healing!
** including over an area that was recently cover in luxe trailers and all the Hollywood malarkey for a big film. Apparently, the goss is that they're making Gladiator 2 and it's doubling for Italy or somewhere like that. They did a similar thing somewhere else nearby for the early scenes in Gladiator 1 I think.

Doubt is not a pleasant condition.
But certainty is an absurd one.

Created pasties. It's evident I'm a bit out of practice & won't be entering any competitions... had enough filling left over for at least three more than I had pastry for.
May claim this was a practice run.
Results in about 30 minutes..

Started tidying and organising the ISO container now the builders have mostly finished at spawn's house. It'll be my defacto shed when I'm there.

Holy crap, still got it. Needed a bit more salt though & maybe a bit less pepper. Half-assed crimp thanks to my recent hand/wrist surgery.

Mowed the lawns and edged the paths/drive and a bit of weeding. Gave up on the block paving.
I'm fucked. Totally fucked. I seriously need to get a bit more exercise.

I discovered different strengths.
Bottles are 5%
Cans 5.4%

Re: What have you done today thread?
Back here in blighty most San Miguel you buy in supermarkets is actually made by Carlsberg in Northampton and is 5%, the imported stuff you occasionally get in B&M or Lidil, etc.. is the proper 5.4% stuff.Yorick wrote: ↑Sun May 14, 2023 8:14 pm500ml cans are about 1.20 hereKungFooBob wrote: ↑Sun May 14, 2023 8:09 pmI started on a 660ml bottle of San Miguel (Holiday Beer), they're three for a fiver in Tescos.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Today I have spent much time learning that metric plumbing is measured by the outside diameter and imperial is measures by the inside diameter.
So where flow rates are important people tend to use imperial for consistancy, and there was me thinking it was just because most of it was made in the States.
This makes aquarium plumbing a right PITA.
Edit:I probably still don't have that right.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Fixed a bastard leccy problem.
Our sparky wired up the garden lights to 2 timers.
1 triggered at twilight. The second he wired in a Sonoff thingy that attached to our WiFi so can set off time and override if needed.
It all stopped working after power cut 2 weeks ago.
He's moved to Spain so can't help.
Loads of wires and not a clue.
Took the router outside next to unit. Nada. Powered house off and on and waited overnight to see if it all kicked in.
Farted about for a week.
Took the router from top floor out to try. Woo hoo.
Sparky had paired that one. Not the one which was nearest (apartment)
