This was always one of my favourites. Dunno exactly why but it just appealed and has stuck.

My Dad had this one stuck somewhere, I remember the cartoon but not the context.

Going through an employment consultation dance (started 2 weeks ago) and feel like I'm being well and truly railroaded.

Not good. We have this going on now (although I've been official branded as 'Not at risk', but it's a shit time for all). Fingers crossed for ya.

It's not as straightforward as a the usual dance, I've been identified as being able to continue with some changes to contract / role, I think those changes are unreasonable and would sooner go straight for redundancy rather than have to potentially piss about with ACAS

I wish I’d found it before I spunked 200 quid on a new rear disc.
The Ujoint is feeling a bit notchy too, time for a recon unit.

Tyre pressure sensor said 31psi vice 35 on the way to work last night, found this when I got to work so topped up tyre and got home ok this morning, it’s dropped 4 psi in 5 hours so will be topping it up daily until new tyre arrives as looking at the location that won’t be repairable. £160 for a new tyre 🤬 and it’s got plenty of tread left🤬

Impossible to tell from the photo where it is on the tyre - any photos of a wider view?

Personally, I’d stick a stop’n’go plug in there until I got around to getting the tyre replaced. If the plug held pressure then I wouldn’t be getting around to it straight away.

Father-in-law was round for dinner last night. He has a fair few quid stashed in premium bonds, but it cropped into the conversation that he's accumulated £16,000 in his current account, as you do. :eh:

'WTF have you got that much in your current account? we both asked, 'You're not earning any interest on it'.

'In case I need to get hold of some money quickly', he replied.

Between us, we convinced him that rather than earning feck-all on £16k, maybe we could open an instant access savings account. Cue much complaining of how he hasn't got time, it'll be too complicated, don't want to lose my money on the stock market, etc. So I grabbed his phone and opened him a Chase savings account in less than 15 minutes ('Chase who? Never heard of them'). He's still holding back a few grand in case of a sudden zombie apocalypse or such like, but it's a start.

Did he give any indication of what type of scenario may actually require this ?
